Many times I’ve been in positions to question the best marketing strategy or tactic that will work for my business. But I am now in that position where I’ve learned that there is NO best marketing strategy or tactics. There are MANY strategies but I have learned to stick to the ones that work.
CUSTOMER RETENTION – This is every gimmick or strategy you do after somebody has given you money to not only make them happy, but cause them to refer their friends or family, and keep coming back to give your more. When a prospect shows up at your business, you want to make sure they enjoy a great experience with your product or service. You want to do whatever you can to make them happy, thinking of you because their questions have been answered.
Indeed, you can’t please everyone, but you can please most people, especially if it’s a target audience. So there are 3 different experiences a client can have:
- 1. The Unhappy Client: These are clients who got LESS than what they were expecting from your products or services.
- 2. The Satisfied Client: These are clients who got EXACTLY what they were expecting from your products or services.
- 3. The Happy Client: These are clients who got MORE than what they were expecting from your products or services.
I’ve learned to understand clients and how they tend to be the best marketing strategy for businesses. The competition is high as the market is saturated. But the only thing that brings about a Happy Client is going the extra length to doing things your competitors won’t do. For example; when I send my design first draft to a client- I make sure it’s backed up with a good presentation (with design applications) beyond what they were expecting. And when a client says good things about my services or share in on social media, I always follow up with them, give them a ‘thank you’ call or email messages.
Word-of-Mouth is the best form of marketing and this is the number thing your raving fan will do for you. These Happy Clients are your biggest evangelists. They tell other people about your products and bring in more. And once you have the momentum going, your brand keeps improving. So it all begins with the work you put into every client’s heart. This is where all your enthusiasm and passion should go into.
